The Rose Ceremony

October 16th, 2010
From 9 – 12 p.m. Potluck to follow

– created by Swami Sivananda Radha (1911 – 1995)

The Rose Ceremony is a deeply engaging ritual for celebrating the highest part of ourselves. Swami Radha has created this ceremony as a dedication to the Divine. This fall, experience the unifying power of devotion and love. Remember what you are grateful for. By reflecting on the symbol of the rose, we can remember what is most beautiful in ourselves and in our lives.

Please bring meditation cushion, wear comfortable fun clothing (a skirt or dress if you like) and dress in layers. Your rose flower will be provided for you.

Cost is by donation: profits will go towards the Haldimand-Norfolk Women’s Services (Women’s Shelter)

The full beauty of the rose is
already present in the bud.

Unlocking the Hidden Dimensions of Your Life

November 20th, 2010
From 9 – 12 p.m.
Potluck to follow

The deepest hunger in life is a secret that is revealed only when a person is willing to unlock a hidden part of the self. Transformation means radical change of form, the way a caterpillar transforms into a butterfly. In human terms, it means turning fear, aggression, doubt, insecurity, hatred and emptiness into their opposites. Finding the hidden dimensions in yourself is the only way to fulfill your deepest hunger. The one reality is spirit, and the surface of life is only a disguise with a thousand masks that keeps us from discovering what is real.

We will be studying The Book of Secrets by Deepak Chopra – Purchasing your own copy is not necessary, but if you have a copy, bring it along.

Please bring yoga mat, meditation cushion, wear comfortable loose clothing.

Cost is by donation: profits will go towards the Haldimand-Norfolk Women’s Services (Women’s Shelter)
